A Campaign to Stop Violence against Children

Sunday, December 5, 2010 0
Just last week, a fad for a cause started on facebook. Almost everyone changed their human profile pictures into their favorite cartoon characters. I changed mine to Dexter then changed it again to Mojo Jojo but I'm not evil like Mojo Jojo; one of my high school friends just said that it suits me 'cause I'm a monkey. Well, that's actually how they tease me in high school because of my surname Ong; and when you add 'goy' it becomes Onggoy. I don't take the pun seriously; I realize I'm too handsome to become a monkey. (ha-ha).
Going back to the topic, here's a hilarious-turned-sappy video about the campaign:

I never experienced getting violated as a child. I pretty much had a colorful childhood but I know how it feels to have your supposedly happy childhood taken away from you. That's just one of the worst things in this mad, mad world.

PS. The song used in this video really gave me goosebumps-- Concrete Angel by Martina McBride

ONE OF SHOWTIME'S BEST

This Gymnastics Group from Laoag really rocked Showtime last week. I wasn't able to catch it live but luckily, it was posted on YouTube.
WOW!

The beginning of their performance wasn't that exciting; but when it reached the highlights, everyone was awed.  Nerve-wracking stunts (one after another) resulted to the crowd/Madlang Pipol's howls and cheers. This group definitely has a niche in the grand finals.

Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious indeed!
