My 2010 ended with a bang. My 2011 was welcomed with very loud and incessant cracks.
It has been two weeks since the New Year's Celebration. And... I must say I had a great start for 2011; except for the fact that my acad life was kick-started by two heavyweight exams-- ES 11 and Physics 72. In addition, since I still got a hangover from the Christmas break, I wasn't able to study well; hence, I took the exam unprepared. And, at this very moment, I can strongly feel the bad vibes coming. It's just lurking out there waiting for the right time to smother me-- which, I assume, would be next week when the exam results are released.
Despite the aforementioned negativity, I still remain positive and ecstaticallly happy... well, most of the time, I am. I've really changed. Right now, I'm no longer as 'grade-conscious' as I was in high school. I bet because the level of difficulty has skyrocketed while my intelligence has plummeted. So, I decided to just enjoy my life.
A Flash Back
1/1/11
For me, Number One always has a positive connotation. It basically signifies success... You're on top... You're the best... I'm thinking, this year, with all the 1's in it would be a year of productivity and prosperity. OHAI!
As the superstition says, our general disposition at the very first day of the year would be, most likely, how our entire year would go. So, I stuck to the "better-safe-than-sorry" cliche and tried to be as happy and as properly-disposed as possible-- which I actually managed quite remarkably. It was easy since, on that very day, people around me were as bright and shiny as the stars.
On the night of 1/1/11, we decided to go gallivanting at Luneta Park and perhaps see the 'dancing fountain.' It's not an ordinary night; as expected, traffic was heavy. It was as clogged as my nose when I have a cold. (ha-ha). My cousin's husband drove patiently along Roxas Blvd. After almost an hour of burning our butts, we finally saw the flags of Luneta dancing with the breeze.
But the long wait was put to waste... we had no parking space for our car and worse, my cousin decided not to pursue our plan. Legions of people were out there and we have to lunge our way into crowd which spells a big fuss since we were bringing her one-year-old son with us.
We came up with the best alternative we could think of, go to MOA instead. It was merely out of not regretting the money we spent for the fuel and the long drive it took us to get there. Still, there were lots of people at MOA but relative to Luneta, it was a lot less.
As usual, picture here and picture there. Eat. Stroll. Eat.

Kuya Jappy(my cousin's husband), Tayshaun (my nephew), Ate Aye(my cousin), That's me!, Anne(my sister) and my Lola Susing.
My sister, my cousin, my grandma, and Ate Margie(Tayshaun's yaya)
I don't know what's up with lola and her towels. (ha-ha). Her towels always manage to mess up our pictures.
And... my life pretty much goes on like the brightest and most colorful fireworks.
I'll inhale positivity this year!
