I was smiling the whole time while watching this movie. I really find chihuahuas cute. And what made this movie extra-entertaining was the lead chihuahua, Chloe (whose voice was dubbed by no less than *clap-clap-clap* Drew Barrymore), and of course, her corazon, Papi. LOL. I like saying the words 'mi corazon,' Spanish words which mean 'my love.' That was Papi's endearment for Chloe. In the beginning, Chloe kept on snubbing Papi but in the end, she realized that Papi is also her 'mi corazon'-- what a happy ending for a "puppy love."
I'm not really that much of a dog lover but I love movies with dogs as lead stars. I guess that if dogs talk in real life I would totally love them. My mom's kind of a dog-lover so we always had a pack of these tamed wolves in our house. Most of our dogs are Japanese Spitz/Poodle but two of them look like chihuahuas.
Going back to the movie... another reason why I loved this movie is our chihuahua-like dogs' great resemblance to Chloe and Papi. I seriously think that our dogs are victims of mutation. OMG this is a scientific discovery. LOL. Just kidding. But who knows, right? Maybe they really mutated since instead of being medium-sized furry animals they turned into petite short-haired creatures. I'm also thinking that they might have chihuahua ancestors or maybe they have a 'chihuahua gene' in them. But those are just my theories.
Like any other movies, this movie also had a bunch of qoutable quotes. And the one I posted above is my favorite.
"I may be small.... but I am fighting for something bigger than all of you."
EPIC! This line is full of courage. And that's exactly what I need right now.
