Lucky Me! Instant Mami "Magnifico" TVC
Child enters the house... sobbing...
"Twelve lang ang napili sa try out! *sobs* pang-thirteen ako!"
"Practice ako ng practice!! HUHUHUHU! May uniform na ako! HUHUHU! Naaaaaaayyyy!"
--Mom says something about "Lucky Me!"---
Mom: Anong sabi ng nanay?
Child: NEVER SAY DIE. (sips the soup)
Mom: Ano pa?
Child: TOMORROW IS ANOTHER DAY!
--The child joins a declamation contest--
THE END
Way back in high school, this was a huge hit in our class. My classmates used to say the lines "Never say die" and "Tomorrow is another day" every time one of us felt depressed about our studies and our life in general. It's not just a TVC filled with charm and cuteness but a TVC about positivity/optimism and determination.
Nestea "OK" TVC
Mom: Oh bakit? Teka. Teka. (shaking a pitcher with Nestea)
Sige anak ibuhos mo lng.
Nicos: Binasted ako ni Mattina, THROUGH TEXT!
Sabi niya, "You and I were KINDRED SPIRITS."
Nicos' sister: KINDRED SPIRITS?!
Nicos: Konti na lang... SOULMATES na 'yon!
Hmmmm! 'yong ilong naman niya... TO THE LEFT TO THE LEFT!
Although ang smile niya..... MERON!
Pero ang puso niya.... WALA! WALA SIYANG PUSO!
ITO! *while smashing the flowers* PINAG-IPUNAN KO PA SA MALIIT KONG
ALLOWANCE!
but that's another issue.
Nicos' Sister: 'Wawa naman Nicos. ahaha!
Dad: shhhh.
Mom: Halika. Hug kita.
Siblings: Ahhhhh! Basted.
THE END
This TVC had a strong appeal among the youth. Aside from the mojo of the commercial models, there are quotable tag lines which one will never get tired of repeating. I specifically love "'yong ilong naman niya... TO THE LEFT TO THE LEFT!" and "but that's another issue"--'cause these lines sound funny-- but I guess for most of us the SMP-Samahan ng Malalamig ang Pasko is the biggest hit and thus, the most phenomenal. And of course, who could forget the Kindred Spirits? I never heard people use 'kindred spirits' before but now a lot are getting fond of it. Probably the courtship theme also helped in making this TVC popular esp. the part when one gets dumped and is ridiculed by his friends or worse, siblings. That really hurts.
In a way, the ad also speaks of a mom's love for her child which is likened to Nestea, BOTTOMLESS. It is always a relief to know that your mom is there to guide and help you in any ordeal.
"Kaya sige. Ibuhos mo lang."
